Last Weekend Today

As I sit here in the office room at my house typing on my laptop, playing NHL 20, and listening to a podcast I reflect on the weekend that was just had.  Actually I have moved my typing location to my screened in patio (I know I’m really rich).  It is a wonderful day out here though, I love a nice cool overcast day and this is one for the record books.  It actually just starting raining and its insanely relaxing.

Not being at work during the weekdays when the suns still up is really something I have missed.  I used to love leaving my morning finance class in the morning and going to tiger lane and stripe my 6 iron right down the middle of that grass.  I even tried to hit the balls into the fountain every once in a while.  Fun fact about that finance class I was in, my teacher got fired for exposing himself to a student during office hours.

So about the weekend…….Saturday and Sunday were absolute euphoria because both of my teams won and they one is completely different and equally thrilling ways.  The Vol’s game was brutal to watch but, I didn’t think I would ever say this again, thank you Jarettano you went out and won that game for the Vols and I appreciate what you did for us.  That sentence was a brutal read but I don’t have the care to go back and clean it up.

I watched the game alone at my house drinking whiskey, which is slowly becoming the norm for me.  It was awesome and shout out to that 4th down stand.  Our boys are going to win out and make a bowl that will mean so much to us but in reality it will mean next to nothing.  People forget there are like 6 maybe bowl games that mean anything.  Also Country Boy Will said this year feels like 1996.  Which mean that we are two years away from the college football playoffs.  It’s so cool that in two years we are going to be in the national championship game.  Also people forget that Tennessee won the first BCS Championship game, that was so long ago.

Let’s talk about the fun game now.  The Titans game was one of the most fun sporting events I have been too in years.  Yesterday morning I picked up my brother at eight in the morning and drove straight to Nashville not expecting to win or the game even being competitive.  Our attitudes changed a lot while sitting at the rooftop bar and John Rich’s bar slamming beers before the game.  It is kind weird not that every bar on Broadway is affiliated with a shitty country music “star”.

My brother and I both share a great affinity for Miller Lite and we each had four during the game.  I went back to get a 5th but apparently my brother and I drank them out of Miller Lite, so we had to drink pineapple flavored trulys as grown men at an NFL football game.  Nonetheless we were drunk so it didn’t matter.

We took the short walk to the stadium across the walking bridge and while we were waiting in line to get our tickets scanned four, count them four, Apache helicopters flew over the stadium and I made some happy milk down my leg.  There are few events that give me the joy of an amazing flyover especially when they sink it up with the last few words of the national anthem.  Oh yeah I forgot Billy Ray Cyrus played a song at halftime about how awesome America is.  They should have got Lee Greenwood.

The game was amazing but that was not even close the best part of the game.  The best part was watching all the douche bag chiefs fans die inside when we blocked their field goal attempt for the win.  There was a grown man in our section that would stand up and yell titan up every time the chiefs did something good and the titans did something bad.  He was also yelling this is our house the entire game.  When I locked eyes with him after the blocked kick I could see in his fat fucking eyes that he had just died, that is a top 5 moment of my life so far.

It was wonderful and I would like to personally thank all the chiefs’ fans for travelling to the game and hope they all got flat tires on the way home and your fat spouses cheat on you with your best friend.  There was also this group of about four chief’s fans a few sections over that stood up and yelled and clapped in our fans faces the entire game.  Oh and also started a fight and they were all escorted out by security.  Basically what I’m saying is that chief’s fans are trash and Kansas City is a shit hole that somehow allow the animals that inhabit that city too breed and create more shit humans.

It was just a delightful weekend and I hope there are more like that to come.  I hope you all have a wonderful week and all your hopes and dreams come true.  And also that all your enemies suffer great hardships much like that chiefs contingent at the Titans game on Sunday.

Also I don’t put very much personal stuff on this thing but I just found out that my step-aunt passed away that I have not seen in a few years.  I won’t pretend that we were even close or kept in contact at all the last ten years.  But I’m not saying this to make you feel bad for me, but I’m telling you this because I don’t want you to wait until someone dies to think that you should have reached out to see how they are doing.  It stinks but i guess that’s the way it goes. Also while we are here ask people how they are doing, it goes a long way.
