Hello, how are ya?  Hope all is well, and you are surviving this heat.  Man, it’s hotter than Salma Hayek in From Dusk till Dawn.  Working is grinding me to a paste but good news its almost football season and the cardinals wont stop kicking the cubs ass in baseball.  There are upcoming things to look forward to.

I am going on vacation to an undisclosed beach located next to an undisclosed active United States Naval Air Base.  There are many things I plan on doing with my time off but most of it revolved around taking pictures or airplanes and helicopters.  I will drop a photo album of all of these at the conclusion of my trip.

Speaking of autism, I will also be visiting an undisclosed civil war era fort which completed construction in 1834.  There are big guns and cannons there that used to go boom, and I like that.  Fun fact in the 1880’s Geronimo was in prison there; you know the guy that got his name from that saying “Geronimo!”

So going to the beach it seemed like a good time to watch Jaws again.  50 years after its initial release it is still a masterpiece.  WOW what a picture.  It’s really good and sorry to spoil it the shark dies at the end.  You may not remember but Quint’s (portrayed by Robert Shaw) speech about the UUS Indianapolis was a true story.

On July 30, 1945, shortly after midnight, the ship was torpedoed by the Japanese submarine I-58 and sank in just 12 minutes.  890 men where left floating in the ocean and fun fact, most of them were eaten by sharks. #sick

I do not believe that Tanya Tucker’s first album receives the respect that it should get.  Umm hey dumbass did you know she was 13 years old when that darn album came out.  go listen to delta dawn right now and weep.  I did weep when they put that song in the sec commercial last year to open the season.  Something like that just hits a grown man right in the balloon knot.

Delta Dawn rocks but I think The Jamestown Ferry is my favorite and it has been stuck in me head for weeks.  Also please note that I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry on this album.  This is a cover of the 1949 track I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry by Hank Williams that has been covered by multiple artists.  Elvis covered it, and it was so sad he broke down crying numerous times while singing.

Ok enough of this, I need to get back to my soulless job of answering emails.  Love youse guys.  Go Vols
