Happy July 4th week. Please do not forget that we live on the greatest nation on Earth. I have been to other countries (not to brag) and honestly, we are doing pretty well over here. Tomorrow, you have a civic duty to yourself, your country, and to fellow American’s to drink beers outside and eat hot dogs. If you are not doing this, please move to Russia because you are an unamerican commie nerd and I don’t want to be around you.
Did you know that mainland USA and mainland Russia are only 53 miles at its closest point? WOW! Up north in the Bering Strait there are two islands’ names Big Diomede and Little Diomede. Big is owned by Russia and Little is owned by the USA and the islands are 2.5 miles apart according to nps.gov. As you probably know it gets cold up north in the winter and they ocean freezes so when this happens you can actually walk from the USA to Russia, not that you would ever want to do that. #howaboutthat
I went to Denver. Denver is sick. Red Rocks is sick. Mountains are sick. Baseball is sick. Rafting is sick. Dudes are sick. Flying back Sunday with crippling anxiety and bubble guts, not sick. But! The fellas got to witness baseball history when the first ever walk off pitch clock violation occurred. It was amazing and we also got to see Shohei Ohtani hit a long dong and they got decent hot dogs there at Coors Field. Just an aside, Todd Helton is amazing and is a Tennessee hero.
Found out today that my co workers father was in the Airforce and helped design the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. That plane is super cool and super sick. She told me he later went off to be a government contractor for Lockheed Martin, and I asked if he had ever been to Area 51 and she was unbale to give me that answer, aka he went to Area 51. You know Area 51 is only like 150 miles from Vegas right?
