Happy Monday everyone, I hope you are doing great and I hope all of your dreams are coming true. Well I did a vacation last week and I am more tired not than before the trip. A lot of thing happened over the past week and I would like to tell you all about the wonderful things that we did.
Saturday morning Future Mrs. Puckflaps, her parents and I all jumped on a plane headed to San Diego with a short layover in beautiful Minneapolis, what a beautiful city. We land in San Diego and go directly to In and Out Burger and get a double cheeseburger animal style, I think that’s what they call it. Then we drive straight to the resort thirty minutes outside of town and I run to the bathroom and my bottom drops out.
Ok I just realized that I don’t care about typing every little thing we did on the trip so why the heck would you care. So long story short we did the Zoo, two vineyards, a tour of San Diego, Laguna Beach, another beach, watched people play golf, drank a handle of whiskey, and did some other things that I can’t remember.
Few things. California is fine, it’s not amazing and it’s not terrible. Everyone thinks that California is this magical place because of the sun and palm trees and tik tok people. The cities are like cities in every state there are good parts and there are bad parts. This grand illusion that Cali is a magical place is true for the 4% of people that live there but the majority of people there are just burnouts that moved out there to peruse a career thinking by just moving there they would be automatically successful. Wow this really took a turn towards the dark side of my brain.
So let’s talk about things that I liked. The cold ocean was nice, I felt like I was being baptized every time I took a dip. It was also nice that the people we encountered were very nice and helpful with all our questions and concerns. The zoo was nice and had a lot of animals and cactuses. I liked looking at the mountains and being like yeah I can see why the entire state is on fire all the time. I like they fellowship that was had between Future Mrs. Puckflaps and her family. I like drinking nice wines and acting like I could taste all the flavors that the guy with a ponytail told me that was in it. I liked the grilled oysters, wings, pork chops, beers, whiskeys, wines, and cornbread that we ate. I enjoyed the airport because it was clean and they had charging stations all over the place.
That being said it was very fun and enjoyable time, but I am very happy to be back home and laying on my on couch watching YouTube videos. This week is going to be an enjoyable one because we are doing golf and Friday with the boys and doing a wedding. It is going to be a wonderful week and weekend of fellowship and love for all.
