Well it is Thursday and it has not been too bad of a week. Today is my mast day of work until next Tuesday due to the fact I am going to the beach to booze and get bronze as hell. My plans for the next few days are to do nothing, basically doing what I do now but on a beach. I’m being a little bit of a nerd and I am bringing two books on the trip. The first is the hilarious book by Norm Macdonald, “Based on a True Story: A Memoir.” The second book is “Eichmann Before Jerusalem” written by Bettina Stangneth. This book is not funny and tells of the atrocities of Adolf Eichmann, who was one of the main people in the behind the Holocaust, which ended with him on trial for his crimes in Jerusalem. What an interesting book to read on vacation.
My brother and I and our girlfriends will be making the trip down to Florida and I am worried. No not about that but I worried that we are going to booze so hard that our parents will look at us weird. I’ve always found it funny that you can drink a bloody Mary in the morning but if you drink a scotch on the rocks you are a raging alcoholic.
Question for the group. What are some fun drinking card games to play with your parents that don’t necessarily drink at the same level as their sons? Also I hope that my favorite hooters in the world is open, man that place has the best wings in the world and the waitresses are so nice. I also hope that my favorite bar, The Sandshaker, is open. This is the same bar that was raided in the early 2000’s because they had a cocaine ring running out of the back. Great place, great bushwhackers.
Last night I watched the movie Ma which was supposedly a Thriller/Psychological horror movie, let me tell you it is neither of those. What it was is a giant pile of dog shit. What a stupid movie I hated it and did not want to watch it in the first place. Here is the plot, these high schoolers want to drink, old lady buys them beer and invites them to drink at her house, old lady went to high school with their parents, wants revenge, and idk what else but it was just a terrible movie with uninteresting plot.
I have been watching a lot of Anthony Bourdain videos over the past couple weeks and he was probably the most interesting guy in the world. I know the ending of his life was not great, but he traveled the world, ate good food, and drank wherever he went. No reservations and Parts Unknown are some of the entertaining shows that teach you about cultures around the world. Also his diatribe on waffle house will make you want to eat their everyday. Also he has a series on YouTube dot com called Raw Craft that is pretty good, so if you are bored give it a goog.
I’m bored and tired and I need to pack for the beach so I am going to go. I’ll see you guys next Wednesday. Have fun working Friday, Monday and Tuesday while I’m sitting if the sand getting my buzz on. Peace everyone have a great next few days.
