I skipped yesterday because I literally did nothing. I went on a walk and made myself a sandwich for lunch, that’s it. I’m going to start running during the day because I downloaded an Application in the ITunes dot com store named couch to 5K. I’m getting in shape and I’m going to look awesome. I have become so bored I’m going to exercise. What a world.
The CTBC Brothers are rolling right now against the Guardians, who suck, up 11-3 in the top on the ninth. Few things, the Guardians stadium looks like trash and has nowhere near the same energy as the Brothers home field advantage. Also the Guardians cheerleaders are not even in the same league as the Brothers smoke squad. It looks as though the guardians just hired some corner girls off the street before the game.
It is interesting to see the different batting stances and throwing motions of this Chinese league compared to Major League Baseball. Hitters overseas seems to always try and hit the ball up the middle or the other way based on their swings. They got that slap hit thing going and are moving forward to run while they are swinging. It’s neat, I’m sure someone wrote something way more coherent and in depth so someone point me in that direction.
Water heater update: it’s still not fixed and the home warranty people have not called me back. Apparently we just need a part which I looked up and is around 7 dollars at the home depot. I have not showered in three days and smell like absolute shit. I’m calling them back today and am going to ask politely if they will fix it because I need to smell good to be able to make whoopie at night.
Yesterday I received an update from work when we might be going back to the office. The company will be starting phase one starting at the beginning of June bring back only 25% of the work force. My boss talked to their boss and, to my surprise, our group was not included in phase one. Long story short is that it looks I’ll be going back in possibly the middle of June or later so I have another month of working from home.
I really hope my company and other companies realize that people do not really have to be in the office to get their work done. As much dicking around as I do every day I feel that my productivity is up. Idk, I also feel like business trip are basically useless and don’t need to happen, because of video meetings and stuff like that, unless you have to do an onsite visit to a store or warehouse. Idk I’m dumb so I don’t know if this makes any sense at all.
I have watched a few things this week so far. First I watched The Wrong Missy which is the new Adam Sandler film starring David Spade on the Netflix dot com. I like Adam Sandler films and love Grown Ups 2 but this movie, holy hell, what a steaming pile of dog shit. There were basically no funny parts and the female lead, who I loved in Crashing, was incredibly annoying and I wanted to stab her. I will say I got a little Randy when David Spade, the lead female, and the lady from Scrubs had a threesome, which was cool.
I also watched Mark Normand’s new standup special on YouTube dot com and it was a gay ole time. He’s wonderful and funny. Another thing I watched was the Bill Bert Podcast with Gilbert Gottfried. It was a very fun hour and a half and before I die I want Gilbert to laugh at one of my shitty jokes, that would be wonderful. I have also been falling asleep to Jeremy Wade’s River Monsters at night and what an awesome thrill that is.
I want to go fishing. I think that last time I really went fishing was inshore fishing in New Orleans with Big T, Country Boy Will, and some coward from South Africa about two years ago. We drove from Memphis to New Orleans, got hammered listening to Little Wayne’s new album, and arrived around two in the morning I think. When we arrived at our place St. Bernard, Louisiana there were three grown men sleeping in our bedroom and we had to tell them to leave. It was a strange night. After a few hours of sleep we met out captain on the dock across the street at 4 or 5 in the morning and we were off fishing. It was great and I would like to do that again.
