It was brought to my attention by Country Boy Will that the XFL starts this Saturday. So, this will be the definitive guide to what you need to know for the upcoming XFL season which starts this coming weekend.

First of all, what is the XFL? According to Wikipedia, “The XFL is a professional American football league owned by Vince McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment.” The league consists of 8 teams.

There will be a 10-game regular season. Each team will have 5 home games and 5 away games. After that there will be a two-week postseason in which the top two teams from each conference (4 Teams) will play in a single elimination bracket.

Salary info. XFL quarterbacks with make on average $125,000, and the starters will make $495,000. Players will be paid $2725 per week that they are on the average roster. You can look more into this if you want because I don’t want to anymore.

Some of the Rules are strange. Per Wikipedia, “The extra point kick will be replaced with a scrimmage play, varying in point value depending on how far the touchdown-scoring team chooses to take the snap from the goal line: a two-yard attempt would score a single point, a five-yard attempt two points, and a ten-yard attempt three points.”

Another fun rule is that teams can throw the ball twice on a play as long as it does not pass the line of scrimage. I dont want to go through all the rules so you can read the rest of them here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XFL_(2020)#Rule_changes

Here are the odds to win a championship:

This hole thing i just did felt like a gigantic waste of time. Hopefully this league last a little longer than the AAF becuase I dont want all this “hard work” I just did to go to waste. It does seem that the XFL has a better plan in place unlike the AAF who just rushed into the whole thing without a plan.
