Just Walk Away

I have a huge problem on my hands that I need to get off my chest.  I am in the midst of a multiple day hangover and I do not know if I will be able to make it.  Saturday a couple of other guys and I left Memphis in a limo destined for Oxford, Mississippi which is were the University of Ole Miss resides.  And let me tell you something if you are riding in a limo and you are not boozing, you’re a loser.

The last limo ride prior to this one was when one picked us up at the Las Vegas airport to bring us too our five-star hotel, and yes, we were also boozing.  In Ole Miss the drinking continued from the limo, too the Grove, too the game, back to the Grove, and then to the limo when it was leaving time.

At this point we could have just come back to Memphis and called it a night but some people in the limo had a different idea.  So instead of coming home we headed to the Horseshoe Tunica Casino which seemed like an amazing idea at the time.  Even though Ole Miss had lost they did cover the over of 66 points due to the fact that both teams on the field defenses were absolute trash, so people had high hope. Also no one expected Ole Miss to win much less cover the spread.

So, I go to the ATM and get out a few hundred bucks, I did not want to get too much as not too show off to all the poor’s around me.  So, I snuggle up to a nice blackjack table and I went on the run of all runs.  At one point I had two $500 chips and probably 8-10 $100 chips.  Not too bad for one nights work.  Unfortunately, my gambling brain overpowered my rational brain and my chip count started to dwindle.  It was a tough and I felt as if Bill Cosby was talking full advantage of me in an altered state of mind.

So, all in all it was a wonderful trip and I ended up walking out of the casino with $15 dollars, a broken heart, and a bleeding butt hole.  Note to self, just step away from the table.  Also shutout to Tennessee basketball and free Uros Plavsic.
