Helicopter

I want to get a helicopter so I can skip traffic and get some sloppy toppy thousands of feet in the air.  Did you know Kobe Bryant used to fly a helicopter from is house to staples center when he played for the Lakers?  Also did you know that Kobe should have been cancelled and is a dirt bag for that incident in colorado? 

So, let’s get into this.  How much is a helicopter?  I decided the one I was going to buy the Bell 429 Global Ranger which generally retails for between 5-7.5 million dollars.  Not too bad to feel better than everyone sitting in traffic.  It’s a pretty sick bird as we say in the biz. 

It has a range of 449 miles and a cruising speed of 170 MPH.  So New Orleans is about 400 miles away and going at 170 MPH that would take about 2 and a half hours.  That’s tight.  What about the 14 miles from my house to the Midsouth Ice House where I play beer league hockey every Sunday?  It would take 4 minutes and 21 seconds.  That would be cool, and I would get so many chicks.

So next time you see a sick helicopter in the sky you can smile knowing I’m farting up that cabin while watching National Treasure 2.
