I listened to a podcast today and they were talking to ghost hunters. Unfortunately I have never had a paranormal encounter with anything and I feel that everyone should. I have been in some creepy places such as an abandoned brewery that was built in the 1890’s. You know so many people died there brewing beers for alcoholics all around country. It was also abandoned forever so I’m positive there were many bum fights and bum deaths inside.

That got me thinking about if you were going out on a paranormal adventure what are the essential equipment you would need to have?
The first thing will you need is a flashlight, this seems pretty obvious. I think that the flashlight is essential because on every ghost hunting show I have seen the lights are always out or turned off for some reason. I have not done too much research but it seems that ghosts are either allergic or scared of light. But for a flashlight I would recommend the Uline Rechargeable Flashlight – Black – H-7733BL it will run you about $70 but it could find you a ghost. It has four, count it four different setting high, low, strobe, and SOS if you need help.
Next thing I would bring would be a headlamp. When you are walking around a spooky place you do not want to have to point the flashlight everywhere you look so why not have that on your head. For this get the Ultra-bright CREE XML T6 3000 Lumen 3 Mode Tactical Headlight Head Lamp it has a staggering 3000 Lumens. It’s perfect for all nighttime activates including making woopie. Its $20.

Alright let’s get into the good stuff, next you will need a ultra-low frequency voice recorder. If you did not know ghosts and other paranormal creature do not speak at the same decibel level that we do. Because of this you are going to need the best of the best in low frequency recording so you are going to have to get the Olympus VN-541PC. It has 2GB of internal memory so if the ghost wants to give you its life story like a drunk girl at a bar you got the space. Also it’s only like $25.

Now that you have the sound recorder you are going to need a EMF recorder. This recorder is used to measure different electromagnetic fields in your surrounding areas. It is a commonly accepted fact in the ghost hunting community that ghosts admit level of electromagnetic energy when they are present. I would recommend the K-II EMF Meter which costs around $60. This may be a high cost for this but you are getting the top of the market EMF recorder so suck it up.
The next thing you are going to need is a handheld camera with night vision capabilities. The night vision is the most important part of this because you may have to turn you flashlights off at some point. There is no other camera other than the Panasonic AG-DVX200 that will suffice. This badass camera is the talk of the ghost hunting community and will be vital in your search for a paranormal encounter. This camera can also be used for making woopie. And you can get it for a steal right now for $3,861.99.

The final piece of equipment you will need is a Binary Response Device. These are the things that light up certain colors when you ask the ghosts simple yes or no questions. On the website ghoststop.com (thats a real website) they have absolutely rad one. This is what it says on the website about it, “The Flux paranormal communication device utilizes multiple environmental sensors to determine a responses based on location of motion and temperature changes. The Flux device includes two infrared motion sensors on each side and an ambient thermometer probe.” Dude this thing has everything no wonder it costs $200.

So the flashlight, headlamp, voice recorder, EMF recorder, night vision camera, and the binary response device should get you on a good start to your ghost hunting adventure. There are also a few other devices such as a ghost box, temperature fluctuation cameras, and metal sticks that move for some reason that you can attain as you get further into the ghost hunting world.
Good luck out there hunting and watch ghost adventure.
